Sortation and Conveyors

Our system integration knowledge, coupled with our in house mechanical design ability led
us down the path of gradually developing our own sortation and conveyor equipment.
Why? Well.......
- We have been the purchaser of conveyors and sortation equipment many times and have found
ourselves solely at the mercy of the supplier, typically they attempt to turn our (and therefore
our customers) requirements into something that fits into their product range, this is
normal when purchasing equipment from product suppliers.
- If your requirements don't fit the suppliers product range they will engineer the requirements to fit,
this is clearly the wrong approach to a project, a supplier should always engineer a solution to fit
with the clients requirements, where of course this practical.
Axiom has always maintained a high level of equipment engineering, from design through to implementation.
As a result we pay a lot of attention to aesthetics, ergonomics, maintenance, replacement parts, fault finding etc.
These areas play an important roll in post-project sales and repeat business.
Axiom's usual path is to evaluate the industry and then design our own equipment, as a system integrator we have the
benefit of being able to see and use the highest quality products, prior to enhancing these designs.
Our popup roller sortation system is a classic example of this,
we were awarded a project where we needed to sort small items at a high speed, we looked at the
industry and carefully evaluated two potential suppliers. After consideration we agreed that we
would develop our own sorter, paying attention to maintenance and the down time requirements to
change something as simple as a drive belt.
We developed the system as part of the project and succsefully implemented it in November 2002, the
