19/12/2004....Hozelock Choose Axiom

Axiom have been working on various pre-sales schemes for handling picking and packing of palletized product at Hozelock in Birmingham for three years.

Hozelock placed an order with Axiom on the 19/12/2004 to supply a Linux based solution for a two step picking and packing operation, the solution utilises Symbol R/F equipment for scanning cartons and pallets. Each carton is bound to a pallet allowing exact pallet shipping lists to be produced.

01/06/2004....Axiom Implement WM System and Automated Cross Docking Solution

Axiom has recently finalised a system upgrade for Faith Shoes, the UK's leading ladies fashion shoe retailer.

The solution invloved delivery of a complex and bespoke WM System, integrated into an R/F solution supplied by Symbol, combined with modifications to the existing conveyor system and supply of new barcode labelling systems to automatically print and apply TNT shipping labels at a typical rate of 33 cartons per minute.

Automatic system speeds reusable containers

In a quest to increase productivity, Ford recently installed an automatic container handling system at its Cologne plant, that supports production of the Fiesta range.

The handling system was required to ensure the rapid and efficient movement of reusable plastic containers that are used to transfer both assemblies and components. The containers measure 1m x 1.2m x 1m and feature an integral pallet base.
