Conveyors

Conveyors are at the heart of most projects that Axiom manage, or are involved with.
Historically the company always purchased conveyors, installation and commissioning
from a third party, whilst we have managed the integration and systems aspect of the project.
However, our project management and engineering staff have never really been happy with
the quality of the complete package supplied to us, something has always let the supplier
down, maybe the equipment is good, but the installation is poor, or the other way round.
We took a decision to manufacture our own conveyors based on poor supplier performance.
Our engineering staff felt we could design and manufacture higher quality equipment for
the same, if not less cost.
Our project management team also felt using our own installation and
commissioning teams would provide us with better project control.
Some other important decision making criteria was maintenance and replacement parts, many of
our competitors suffer from "hand made" syndrome, where the manufacturing tolerances and
quality makes onsite maintenance and part replacement difficult, requiring onsite modifications
to spare parts to ensure that they fit or carry out their function.
Using close tolerance engineering technology such as CNC machining, laser cutting etc., we are
able to supply a range of rugged, aesthetically pleasing conveyors capable of handling :-

- Large cartons, totes, packing trays etc.
